Hi everyone. I'm back with my fifth card using the Immense JOY die from Penny Black.
Today's card was so much fun to make. I LOVE stenciling, so I used the Festive Layering stencil (Tim Holtz) to create my background. I CASED this card, using the same stencil, same technique (stencil bleed), and similar colours of ink. Then I added the JOY die-cuts over top, Gumball Green (SU!) for the background and white for the word. I wanted the background to show more, so I trimmed the top panel so that a bit of the design peeks out at the top and bottom. :)
Close-up ...
I'm sending this card to the Peace on Earth Challenge #59.
Edited to add: Sending this card over to Just Us Girls #717 - Color Week. Thanks Ina!!
Thanks for stopping by!

Oooo - just love the stenciled background with the JOY over top with the O window, Loll - so gorgeous with the stencil bleed, love this!!
What a great idea. I am enjoying all your joy cards. Wonderful inspiration for all of us. Thank you xx
This one is just super! I would never think to use a colored card base for this and just LOVE the colors of your stenciling for the background. I must dust off my die like this one after seeing your spectacular work!
This is such a cool layout, Loll, and I really like the colours you chose.
The little strips of stenciling peeking out at the top and bottom add so much interest! Terrific card, Loll!
Another fantastic use of the JOY die, Lolly! Love the stenciling filling in the O! Gorgeous colors, my friend!
What beautiful bright green card Loll and a great contrast with the white 'JOY' die cut, and the Festive Layering Stencil looks so pretty using the stencil bleed technique, and I love that you let a portion of the stencilled background show at the top and bottom of the card as well as through the 'O'...gorgeous. x
Oh LOL this is beautiful and just stunning! Love it. Please add it to our Jugs colour challenge. It is perfect.
Great idea to fill the "O" with a stencilled piece - and it's such lovely stencilling in beautiful colours. Thanks so much for sharing it with us at Peace on Earth and for picking up the greens in our mood board!
This bold word JOY is a real eyecatcher and I like the way you made the O!

You put me to shame Loll, no Christmas makes here yet, must get a wiggle on! Love the soft effect of the stencil bleed, may just have to investigate further! Fab card as ever. :)
So pretty! I love the stenciled design and the effect you got with the stencil bleed technique!
My heart is definitely joy-filled with this card -- love the die but love the colors too!
Another great rendition of this stencil, using these beautiful colors, Lolly! And that fun die, of course! I love how the stenciling peeks over the top and bottom! Hugs, Dolly
WOW, WOW, WOW!!! You can use this die a 100 times and I won't get tired of seeing it Loll...this card is STUNNING!! I love how you do that stencil bleed technique...that is just the prettiest look! Lovely, lovely card my friend!! Hugs. :0)
Oh my word this is so very eyecatching, it might be my favorite of the bunch!
Gosh, Loll, you're such an inspiration. This is absolutely lovely, and what a wonderful collection of Christmas cards you're making! The stencil bleed is soooo pretty. This time I bookmarked it in my techniques folder. One of these years I'll try it, sheesh. That folder is so full!
Kim loving all of your scene inside words! Fabulous designs and the green is so pretty:)
This technique of using strenicil gives a really beautiful effect. The "bleeding" of colors gives the impression of a colored fog. I love that you used this gorgeous image for another JOY card and that the stenciled panel extends from the top and bottom, creating a beautiful colorful frame that ties into the center of the card. Such an amazing look and stunning Christmas card
xx
Very pretty! Thank you for sharing with us at Peace on Earth Christmas Challenge.
Gorgeous! Love the colours and the stencilling. The green background really adds to the design xx
