Hi everyone. Today's card is for the IDEAS Challenge with Darnell. This week is "A - Anything Goes".
Distress Inks were used to add colour (Large flower: Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade, Crackling Campfire; Smaller flower: Saltwater Taffy, Abandoned Coral ... then Shabby Shutters and Peeled Paint for all the leaves and stems). I die-cut the flowers and placed them over a dry embossed background (Layered Leaves - retired - SU!), popping up the flower heads for dimension.
To finish I stamped the Happy Birthday that came with the stamp set ... I'm wish it was larger font, but wanted to just use the one stamp set to finish the card.
A very fun card to make. :)
Close-up ...

Loll, your 'control' over the shading is wonderful, and I love that you've left a bit of nearly-white visible, too!

flower colouring is gorgeous!
Those flower sprays are so pretty Loll and the embossing in the background is just perfect. :)

These really are beautiful blossoms, Lolly! Love the shading! I love the embossed background too!
Beautiful stamps and fabulous watercolouring Loll and such pretty colours, the leaves EF makes a wonderful backdrop, and finished with a lovely neat sentiment...a gorgeous card. x
This is beautifully shaded, Lolly! You, being in control, makes them more natural looking than some of the stencil details (imho) and I love the texture of the e/f background, too! Thank you for playing with my I.D.E.A.S. this week and linking again to NBUS! Hugs, Dolly
I love that your embossed panel is smaller and has a wide frame around it. I will have to Case that design for sure.
Beautiful! Your shading is spot on, and this beauty needs nothing more, as it stands tall without any additional blitz or bling
Beautiful flowers - they look wonderful layered over the embossed background.
Lolly...your shading is simply beautiful dear friend. Love and hugs...Nancy
Love your shading on the beautiful flowers, Loll. A stunning card, with the vibrant colours against the textured white background

Simply stunning! Love the flowers, your shading is perfect. The little touch of embossing in the background adds great texture ..... love it! xx
I agree with doing our own shading with stencils, Loll. Your flowers are lovely.
Your flowers are beautiful and I love your shading, it looks really natural. Great use of the embossed background too xx
I just love seeing your watercoloring in your soft pastels. This is beautifully shaded too. How gorgeous this is!
Ohhh, a beautiful new set for your collection! I do love your style of stenciling. Your blending is so soft and lovely. At first glance I thought you had watercolored. It appears the die cuts it rather nicely, too. I always look for that. So lovely, Loll!
Stunning ink shading, Loll. I love the gradation of colors, the ombre makes the flowers so delicate. A special card, my dear Loll.
