More Bokeh for Gof7

Hi everyone.  Another card  for May's Group of Seven technique - Bokeh.

I sponged the background using Salty Ocean and Wilted Violet.  I added sponged circles using the same colours of ink and more from white pigment ink.  I believe the combination of coloured colours and white circles adds more depth ... I've added this to the Gof7 Bokeh post.

I paired it with a retired die-cut from Memory Box that I love and will never stop using. :)  The sentiment is also a retired, stamped in more Wilted Violet ink.

Close-up ...

Sending this card to the following challenge:

Edited to add:  sending this card to Die-Cut Divas June Challenge - Favourite Die-cut Shapes.  Thanks for the heads up Linda! :)

  1. I love the blue and purple together Loll, and a great idea to add depth with the ink blended background and more circles using the colours as well as the white, and the MB Sloping Hillside die is so pretty cut in white, and the purple sentiment finishes it beautifully. x

  2. Love the idea of starting with the base colours for your bokeh circles and then finally adding white circles! Must try that. Gorgeous combination of colours and a fabulous card!

  5. Awww, Jessie! She really does look like she's daydreaming about the beach on her beach towel! Great photo, Lolly, and great Bokeh design! I love the way you added the circles in the same colors as the blending and it definitely adds depth. And I agree about that die-cut; I love mine, too! Have a great weekend! Love, Dolly

  16. Funny you mention that about the die because my first thought when I saw this was how I always swoon when you use this die. It's perfection for a background like this and the beautiful stamped sentiment. All that lovely white space. I like the idea of both colored and white dots for the bokeh effect. Of course, you know as soon as I saw Jessie my heart swooned again. She looks so content there, dreaming prettily on her beach towel!

  20. I still plan to make the card using the bokeh technique. Unfortunately, that's where intentions end. I love this card, you managed to create an extremely romantic winter image. Beautiful colors and a wonderful die.
