Penny Black - Let's Garden

Hi everyone.  Today I'm sharing a couple of cards using the Let's Garden stamp set (40-928) from Penny Black.  I did a very light watercolouring with Distress Inks.  Sentiment (Gratitude 30-105 - Penny Black) is stamped in the same archival ink (Rich Cocoa - Memento) as the Let's Garden image.

I then created a second card using just a portion of the image to create a CAS card.  I watercoloured with Distress Inks, then added an octagon frame (All-in-One Octagon - Penny Black).  I cut around the bottom of the flowers and leaves so they could overlap the frame slightly.  A sentiment (Super Day - Penny Black) is stamped in black ink to finish the card.

The wheelbarrow full of flowers is such a delightful image and beautifully watercoloured Loll, and what a great idea to use just a portion of the stamp for the second card within that gorgeous octogon ornate frame and a lovely sentiment to finish on each of the cards. x

Such bright summery garden designs, Lolly! I especially love your beautiful watercoloring on the wheelbarrow, all the way down to the shadows on the ground and both floral bouquets are so pretty! Hugs, Dolly

Your watercolored image is amazing, Loll. What a great way to get a totally different look from the same image by framing it. Two fabulous cards!

Two beautiful cheerful, summery cards Loll. I particularly like the way the flowers just overhang the frame slightly on the second one. Thanks for sharing with us over at The Paper Players this week!

You have two beautiful cards here, Loll! How I love that wheelbarrow full of flowers. It's such a happy stamp and happy card! It's just as pretty only partly showing in the frame with the sentiment fit so perfectly underneath. You've wow'd me again!

Very creative use of this cool stamp. The first card is really sweet, but the use of a stamp in the second card shows your genius. I love how the plant parts stick out of the frame. This is a very creative approach to this stamp.
