Hi everyone. I'm sharing more cards using the Sophistication (40-929) stamp. This time I only used a portion of the image and made it into a postage stamp card. I stamped on mixed media paper in black ink and clear heat embossed. Salvage Patina is sponged on the background before I watercoloured the image with distress inks.
I used the Posted Cut Out (51-778) to create a background of my stamp. I cut the image down to fit inside the postage stamp, leaving a white border. I finished the image by adding the accessory stamps from the Posted stamp set (30-985) in Lost Shadow Distress ink. A simple sentiment (Super Day - Penny Black) was added in black ink before I popped up the postage stamp panel to add dimension.

I made a quick, CAS card using the same image, this time an even smaller portion. :) I had it on my desk, along with the All-in-One Oval and I thought they would look sweet together. I stamped the flowers in black ink, clear heat embossed and watercoloured with Distress Inks (Picked Raspberry, Ripe Persimmon, Mowed Lawn). I wanted to add a subtle background for the flowers, so I sponged with Shabby Shutters distress ink on an angle. Then I added two stacked oval frames and a simple sentiment (Family Sentiments - Penny Black) stamped in black.

I love how you use your Penny Black stamps, Loll! This one is just as beautiful when cut down to a smaller size, looking all clean and fresh with lots of white space. Love the postage style of the first card, and the touch of shading on the second card. Very nice!

Two lovely ways to use that stamp - at first I didn't realize it was the same stamp. Great variation with the postal stamp border and the pierced oval frame.

Your DI coloring is fabulous on both cards, Loll. That frame is wonderful on the CAS card.
The flowers look beautiful on both cards Loll and I love the postage card frame with the added postmarks on the first, and the pierced oval frame with just a smaller piece of the flower behind it looks equally good, and the pink and then orange tones of the both look so bright and eye catching. x

Two wonderful cards using the same stamp. Using the top only in that circle frame is a wonderful way to stretch the look of the stamp. Using different colors make such a difference too. You never fail to inspire me.
