Hi everyone. Today's card is for the IDEAS Challenge with Darnell. This week is "A - Anything Goes".
For my Anything Goes, I've tried a new-to-me technique. Thanks to Tiffany Solorio for this great video. I used a panel of alcohol inked yupo from my stash, ran it through my Gemini with the Vine Canopy embossing folder (Simon Says Stamp). I then used a sanding block to sand off the top of the raised design, which turns white. I love the effect and will try this with more of my AI panels that have been collecting dust. :)
I popped it up on my card front which has been stamped with a sentiment from Happy Snippets (Penny Black).
I die-cut the Ascending die (Penny Black) from black card stock and adhered it on top.
Easy peasy card using a panel from my stash. :)

Your background panel looks so pretty and sets off the black sprig perfectly. :)
Loll, I gave up on alcohol inks, but I LOve seeing your gorgeous panels - extra special using this fun sanding technique... and I'll never tire of those wonderful Ascending ferns!

Wow what a super effect! Love this and all that wonderful texture and color in the background, so perfect for a silhouette die cut. Now I need to make some alcohol ink backgrounds!z
Love that technique for embossing and sanding an AI panel - I must try it. You used beautiful colours - especially that rich purple next to the turquoise. Thanks for linking to the video.
I love how the sanding highlights the embossed design, Lolly! That's a pretty piece of alcohol ink too! Love the colors and that die cut!
What a great idea to sand back this pretty AI piece Loll, and love the contrast of the added black die cut leaves and sentiment. A bright and beautiful card. x
What a great idea this is and I love your design, Lolly! And, of course, the blues and greens and leaves are my faves! Thank you for sharing and thank you for playing with my I.D.E.A.S.!📌 Love, Dolly
It's a great technique and allows a peek of the embossing -- fantastic card!

It is always very gratifying when a card comes together easily and you have used something up from your stash. Well done. It is beautiful. Love the black contrast with the AI background xx
Hi Loll, well I've been very slack with my visits and commenting and must say I've spent some quiet moments going back over your past couple weeks posts.... as always ALL your cards are an inspiration to me/us all, I love your fresh colours and clean and simple designs and your colouring and blending is just wonderful. So a big thumbs up and smile for all your lovely cards... big hugs Robyn
