Hi everyone. Today I'm sharing a birthday card I made for Jeremy's sweet friend, Vanessa. I used some new Penny Black products: Overflowing (31-062) and Overflowing Cut-Out (51-822), and some older PB products as well.
I started with one of the images from the Overflowing stamp set, stamped in black ink and heat embossed in clear onto mixed media paper. The image was die-cut from the matching die (Overflowing Cut Out) and then the flowers were sponged with Distress Inks: Pine Needles and Evergreen Bough. I went over the sponging with a wet paint brush and added more depth of colour for shading. The leaves are watercoloured with Distress Inks: Shabby Shutters and Peeled Paint. A coat of Clear Wink of Stella was added overtop of the flowers to give a shimmery finish.
The Variegated 65-008 (Penny Black) embossing folder was used to add a background to the sweet frame (Sewing Stackers 51-651 (Penny Black). I added the flowers to the frame, adhering the bottom of the stems to the back of the frame, and popped up the flowers to add dimension. The whole panel was popped up onto the card front. A simple sentiment (Banner Sentiments 30-423 - Penny Black) was stamped in more of the Evergreen Bough to finish the card.

A gorgeous card, love the photo of the girls. x
Such a pretty card. I love how you have created texture with the embossing and that frame. The effect is stunning xx
So pretty, love the EF you've used. :)
I'm sure Jeremy's friend will be delighted with the card. Beautifully colored peony flowers gained more depth by increasing the color intensity. A truly beautiful card, my dear Loll.
xx
Beautiful CAS card, Loll.
Great card Loll, the beautiful flowers look lovely against the embossed background.
Super photo of ‘the girls’.
Liz xx
The framed embossing makes a wonderful background for these beautiful flowers, Lolly! How fun that Christine and Susan were there for lunch. 'm impressed that you got all three of the "girls" lined up and still enough for a photo!
What an absolutely fabulous card Loll and love the impressive flowers and the frame and dry embossing as a background look marvellous and with lots of dimension too.. Jeremy's friend Vanessa will adore this. How lovely to have had Christine and Susan over for lunch and the photo of the three girls looks great, and posing so well too. x
The 3 doggie girls look so cute together...Love seeing them enjoying the 3rd of July:-)
It is the 4th here and 89 degrees at 6 p.m. Too hot still to be outside...we had errands to do in town...inside and then got home and took a late nap...Planning on going outside in about an hour to the fenced vegetable and berries garden...when it is in the shade:-)
Stay cool and enjoy yourselves...Love and Hugs...Nancy
This is a beautiful blossom card, Lolly! The colors are fabulous and I really like the way you did the background with the e/f and frame!📌 The photo of the three girls in the yard is fantastic! The only thing that would have made this post better is if there had also been a photo of you, Susan, and Christine! Love, Dolly
Beautiful card - such lovely fresh colours. Great layout with the Sewing Stackers frame. And of course I love seeing the photo of Tessa, Jessie, and Violeta - such a gorgeous trio of dogs!
Such a gorgeous card Loll - I am sure it would have been loved!!
Those three dogs look as though they are good friends also :)

Wow on your coloring and I LOVE that color. It's once again beautifully shaded. If only I could watercolor like this!
Loll, you have created two beautiful flower cards in the last two posts. Gorgeous coloring. I do love a flower card.
Gorgeous layout Loll, your framing is beautiful with the embossing and the blue flowers ♥
