Hi everyone. Another card for August's Group of Seven Product Focus - Embossing with Vellum.
I stamped Statement Flowers (Altenew) onto a piece of vellum from my stash which had been smooshed with Alcohol Inks. The image was heat embossed in white and then framed (Sewing Stackers - Penny Black), popped up over top of my card base. Popping it up lets the translucent qualities of vellum show in the card. A simple die-cut sentiment (Heartfelt - Penny Black), cut from black card stock is added at the bottom to finish the card. Quick and easy card, using a vellum panel from my stash! :)

Beautiful and I just love that color combination. Fabulous frame too. I’d had not much luck heating on vellum but my vellum could have been too thin.

ReplyDeleteGorgeous colors and design, Loll! I like your idea of popping up the vellum piece to take advantage of the translucent quality. This flower stamp makes a gorgeous outline to fill the frame yet let the beauty of the background shine!
ReplyDeleteI simply adore the pink and purple alcohol inks used on the vellum, and the white embossed flowers really pop Loll, and that ornate frame is gorgeous, also such a great idea to pop it up too. x

ReplyDeleteLove the delicate.lines on your bold background!
ReplyDeleteEarlier I did not think about Vellum to color AI. The effect is really beautiful and I should certainly reach for this technique. White pressing hot beautifully raises the image in the foreground.
