Hi everyone. Another card for October's Group of Seven technique - Glitter Painting on Acetate.
Unfortunately, it's very difficult to photograph cards that use acetate because the light bounces off and reflects. The only way is to make the card fairly dark ... and that's what I did, but I lost the sparkly goodness of the glitter that's added to the back of the images. :( Trust me, in real life, the card has sparkle! :)
All in all, I'm happy with my finished cards, but did not enjoy working with loose glitter.
Thanks for stopping by!

ReplyDeleteSimply gorgeous Loll and not too dark my friend.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Glittery Christmas Card, dear friend:-) TFS your Christmas Season, Lolly:-)
ReplyDeleteThis looks beautiful, not too dark at all xx
ReplyDeleteI am with you on the loose glitter, terrible stuff. It gets everywhere. I still have some but haven't used it in years. Your card is so pretty. I think the end result was worth the hassle xx
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card. I am still going to try this technique when I decide which stamp to use. :)'
ReplyDeleteI really like this card!
ReplyDeleteYou lost the schparkle, Lolly, but not the beauty! Actually, without it, this looks like a real stunning stained glass window with the silver looking soldered! Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous Loll and love the three scripted panels with the pretty seasonal foliage and poinsettia flower, and the colours are beautiful and the bright red sentiment complements it perfectly. I think the design with the acetate adhered to the two white panels which look as though they have been popped up for dimension looks great, and this also allows the light to shine through the added space. x
ReplyDeleteSparkle showing or not, this is a pretty card, Loll! Wonderful CAS design!
ReplyDeleteWe definitely believe the glitter sparkles! I'll bet it's truly wonderful IRL -- it is very pretty,Loll!
ReplyDeleteFabulous glitter painting - love the reds and greens with the platinum embossing.
ReplyDeleteWhat great images for the technique, Loll. I agree with Darnell. They look like beautiful stained glass.
ReplyDeleteGosh, even without the sparkle it looks amazing, but I know it knocks your socks off IRL. So frustrating trying to get a photo right sometimes. The stamps are absolutely beautiful and this technique takes it next level. Gorgeous, Loll!
ReplyDeleteYou captured the beautiful jeweled colors and I can imagine the fantastic sparkle!
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous Loll and is something I really really need to try. I don’t have that many colors of glitter though but this sure does look beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWe may not see the sparkle Loll, but we've all been there with trying to capture it, so I think our imaginations work pretty well by now to know that IRL it SPARKLES! Beautiful images too! Lovely, lovely card my friend!! Hugs. :0)
ReplyDeleteso pretty Loll, your triptych of images are so pretty with the silver outlines and glittery centeres ♥
ReplyDeleteI've never thought of using acetate like that; it is so cool.
ReplyDeleteI just love that stamp with the floral tips extending over the frame Loll - so pretty with the embossed silver and bright glitter colors! Great card design as well with the cut out for the acetate panel. Julia xx
